Make Our Garden Grow Capital CampaignThe Make Our Garden Grow capital campaign was begun in November 2001 as a two-year fundraising effort to provide the financial resources to complete the purchase and renovation of the historic Mt. Washington Grange Hall in Whitefield, NH. The Weathervane Theatre Alumni Association, Inc. ("WVAA") purchased the Grange Hall in September 2000 to provide a multi-use facility for the Weathervane Theatre Company. Soon thereafter, the building, which features a finished office, three large rooms suitable for rehearsals, and extensive storage space for sets and costumes, suffered the collapse of its roof during a particularly brutal winter. The WVAA was able to repair the damage and to prepare the building for its inaugural use by the 2001 theatre company. The goal of the campaign is $75,000, which would fund the remaining renovation, including needed structural repairs to the building, and the balance owed on the mortgage. As of April 2003, the organization has raised over $40,000 of this goal. About the Weathervane Theatre Alumni AssociationThe Weathervane Theatre Alumni Association is an international network of former Weathervane Theatre staff and company members dedicated to enlarging creative and financial support for that theatre by fostering an awareness of its importance to the White Mountain theatre audience and theatre artists. It was established in 2000 as a non-profit organization to create and sustain a fund of contributions from alumni and others for special projects for the Weathervane Theatre. Become a WVAA SupporterIf you want to ensure the future of theatre in the North Country, supporting the WVAA is an effective means to achieve that goal. The WVAA exists to enlarge the creative and financial resources of the Weathervane Theatre. We must rely, however, on the commitment of many donors, large and small, to ensure the future of the WVAA and its mission of support. We offer opportunities to individuals, foundations, and corporations to underwrite benefit performances and to provide ongoing support to the overall work of the WVAA. |
