Mary Whithed (President)

Mary spent more than a dozen summers at the Weathervane Theatre, an experience that changed and enriched her life. Although Mary was the Box Office Manager at the Theatre for years, she also enjoyed creative turns as a directing intern and resident dramaturg. Mary has a B.A. in Theatre from Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts and an M.Ed. from Keene State College in New Hampshire. Mary now resides in New Jersey, where she works for the Arts Education Department at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center. She is also the proud Mama of Shaelyn, who's Daddy she met at the Weathervane Theatre.

Scott Hunt (Vice President)

Scott was born and raised in northern New Hampshire only minutes from the Weathervane Theatre. As a child, he performed on the Mainstage for 6 years. In 1990, Scott moved to New York City to complete his degrees in philosophy and in fashion merchandizing. Since that time, he has been working in fundraising and development in higher education. Currently, he is the Associate Director of Events at the Lycée Français de New York and serves on several New York City not-for-profit boards. He brings to the WVAA over 15 years of experience in fundraising and special events. He joined the WVAA board in 2002.

Joanna Hoch (Secretary)

Joanna K. Hoch has served as the Weathervane Theatre's General Manager since 1999, after a summer as the Box Office Manager and one as the Company Manager. A recently transplanted resident into the North Country of New Hampshire, she shares an apartment with her new husband, Jason, dog (Toby) and cat (Alden). She has been seen in a variety of roles in productions on the Weathervane's stage, some of which include: Sr. Mary Leo in Sister Amnesia's Country Western Nunsense Jamboree (AKA Nunsense III), the Strange Lady in Big River and ensemble in both Jesus Christ Superstar and this past season's hit, All That Jazz. Joanna has been a part of theatres up and down the east coast, and looks forward to many more years of performing, teaching and encouraging companies such as the Weathervane to grow and succeed.

Jeffrey Zadroga (Treasurer)

Jeff Zadroga lives in New York City and is currently the Northeast Regional Finance Manager for Avanade, a professional services consulting firm jointly owned by Accenture and Microsoft. His association with the Weathervane Theatre began in 1992 when he was hired by the theatre in his first professional acting job. At the Weathervane, Jeff has performed Tommy in Annie Get Your Gun, George in Our Town, Lt. Cable in South Pacific, among others. Additional performing credits include Carousel, 1776, Mame, Evita, Sweeney Todd and A Christmas Carol as well as nine months singing on the American Hawaii Cruise Line based in Honolulu. Jeff graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in Business Management. Upon graduation, Jeff worked for Frito-lay in Orlando, Dallas, New Orleans and Birmingham prior to moving to New York to pursue a career in theatre. Jeff is a founding member of the Weathervane Theatre Alumni Association and is also currently serving as the Treasurer for the Up with People International Alumni
Association.

Rhonda Picou

Originally from New Orleans, Rhonda Picou was the properties mistress and a set designer at the Weathervane Theatre from 1989 to 1991. In 2000, she helped to create the Weathervane Theatre Alumni Association, Inc. and in addition to serving as its secretary for the last five years, has also been the chairperson of its development committee. Rhonda lives in New York and is a student at Columbia University where she is an MFA candidate in stage management at the School of the Arts. She is the copy editor of the recently released “Nights of Northern Lights – Forty Seasons of the Weathervane Theatre” which is available elsewhere on this
website.

Frederick Farrar

A founding member of the Weathervane Theatre Alumni Association, Rick resides in New York City, where he serves as Director of Store Development for Polo Ralph Lauren, designing and project managing installations of custom Ralph Lauren environments. Prior to relocating to New York, he was the Executive Director of the historic Colonial Theatre in Keene, NH, where he supervised programming of film, the selection and booking of live performers, and daily operations. His professional theatre experience includes several seasons as a member of the Indiana Repertory Theatre resident company in Indianapolis and also at the Weathervane Theatre. Rick spent six summers at the Weathervane, performing and directing in the cabaret and on the Mainstage. He also served as Associate Artistic Director, participating in program selection, casting, and the creation of original revues for the cabaret. He holds a Masters in Architecture from Yale University and earned his bachelor’s degree from Harvard

Cindy Hathaway

Cindy lives in Connecticut, where she is a teacher of Voice and Musical Theatre for Music Theatre Of Connecticut, a school for the performing arts in Westport, CT. Additionally, she works in theatre, commercials, voice-overs and is developing a show for cabaret performance. Her happy association with the Weathervane Theatre began in 1991 and continued in 1992, performing on the Mainstage. Prior to becoming an actor, Cindy worked in design as a graphic designer, a technical illustrator, and an interior designer. In addition to studies in acting and voice, Cindy holds a BA in French from Arcadia University and a BS in Environmental Design from U.C. Davis. She is a founding member of the Weathervane Theatre Alumni Association.

Timothy Breese Miller (Webmaster)

Tim lives in Ardsley, NY with his wife Jaime Chapin Miller and their son Evan. In 2004 he became a full time member of the Metropolitan Opera Chorus and sings in over 20 operas a year. He studied music and acting at Ithaca College and SUNY Binghamton before apprenticing with Chautauqua Opera, Greater Miami Opera, and the Vienna State Opera. Tim spent over 6 years in Europe and 3 years there performing Raoul in Phantom of the Opera. Tim met Tom Barthel through his friend Georgina Chakos and Tom invited both to sing in Carousel and a new version of Phantom at the Weathervane in 1995. Tim has performed in numerous galas and fundraisers for the Weathervane and joined the WVAA board in 2003.

Scott McGowan

Scott McGowan, a Brooklyn based actor and proud member of Actors Equity Association (AEA), was a member of the Weathervane Acting company from 2001-2002 and 2004-2005.   He has an AA degree from Bucks County Community College in Newtown, PA and a BFA degree from New York University both in Performance.   He has appeared in many regional theatres up and down the east coast including the Kennedy Center, as well as Off-Off Broadway.   Scott has served on the governing body of AEA for 7 years and is the Chair of the Theatre for Young Audience's Committee as well as Vice-Chair for numerous other committees.   Shaelyn, his daughter with partner Rick Myers and co-board member Mary Whithed, is a true product of the Weathervane family!!
