The Weathervane Theatre Alumni Association is a collection of former Weathervaners - actors and artists, architects, teachers, doctors, lawyers, mothers and fathers - who all share the experience of having been a part of something unique and excellent at the Weathervane Theatre. We all know what it's like to create outstanding theatre out of nothing. To take 7 days of rehearsal and preparation and along with cardboard, paint, hot glue and heart, entertain an audience and give them a truly unique theatrical experience. For various reasons, the Weathervane Theatre lives in our hearts in a way that other theatres do not. Maybe it’s because Weathervane is an alternating repertory company (seven shows per season, a different show every night!) and when you create something excellent under such an intensely demanding schedule, you never forget it. Or maybe it’s because this theatre creates life-long friendships. Maybe it’s because we met our mates there all those years ago. Maybe because the White Mountains are awe-inspiring. Whatever the reason, the one phrase seemingly common to all of us is: “It was the best summer of my life!” And so, in the spring of 2000, recognizing the need to support the theatre in its future growth, we formed what is now the Weathervane Theatre Alumni Association. At present, we are over 500 strong and growing. We know of no other alumni association connected to a theatre.
